****This is a set of four Thai dha style swords, with two larger blades, and two shorter, knife sized blades. The swords both have ropes for attachment to the waist or belt, and one knife has a wrap present around the lower portion of the blade. All four have a similar construction of a wooden handle with a collar before meeting the round guard, which have sun symbols present. All of these swords are in pretty good shape, with their general color being more gray and dull. One of the swords is actually stuck in the scabbard, making itself seem like it doesn't want to go anywhere anytime soon. The metal and rope fixtures on the scabbards themselves are somewhat loose, having some play up and down in them to the touch. The wooden scabbards do have some cracks present, looking to be right down the seams where they were originally glued together around the blade. The two swords have what look to be Japanese characters on them, done in someform of ink or marker it would appear. The knives have an average blade size of 10 inches, one being around 9, and the other closer to 11. The guards on these knives are somewhat loose with side to side play. The sword which can removed from its scabbard is somewhat sticky on the way out and back in, but looks to be in similar condition to the knives. The blade length of the one that will come out is approximately 15 1/2 inches. The handles of the knives measure slightly over 6 inches, with the sword handles measuring around 9 inches. Both swords look to be the same size overall. These would be a good addition to a new collection, or would be good subjects for restoration................See Images****
